AdGuard has released a new update for its iPhone VPN app, giving users a new way to test the waters before committing to a long-term subscription.
The recently released AdGuard VPN for iOS v2.10 focuses on giving iPhone users some stability fixes, while also offering a full 7-day free trial directly to the Apple App Store.
The move aims to allow potential buyers to “explore premium features before purchasing” by giving them full, unrestricted access to the provider’s top-tier plan.

During this one-week period, users will not be restricted by the 3GB monthly traffic limit found in AdGuard’s standard free tier. Instead, the trial unlocks all available server locations, completely removes data caps, and allows up to 10 simultaneous device connections.
According to the provider, this setup is specifically designed to help users test the service in “everyday scenarios, from streaming and gaming to constant background protection while traveling.”

To activate the 7-day trial, you will need select an annual subscription through the App Store, although you can cancel before the end of the week to avoid being charged.
This is a welcome addition to Apple’s highly competitive ecosystem, allowing AdGuard to compete more aggressively with top VPN providers, many of which already offer money-back guarantees or dedicated trial periods.
What else is new in AdGuard VPN v2.10?
Beyond the main trial offering, the v2.10 update brings several quality of life improvements behind the scenes.
Specifically, the developers have fixed bugs related to exporting exclusion lists from Mac to iOS, meaning that your custom routing rules should now sync without issue between your Apple computer and your iPhone. The update also fixes a known issue with the app’s appearance on Siri Suggestions.
How good is AdGuard VPN?
For those who are not familiar with the provider, AdGuard VPN is created by the same privacy-focused team behind the popular AdGuard ad blocker.
The service has been aggressively expanding its presence over the past year. It stands out by using a custom open-source VPN protocol that can mimic web traffic, making it incredibly difficult for restrictive networks to detect and block your connection.
The company has also been busy refining its broader software ecosystem.
Following an important Windows VPN update that prioritized usabilityAdGuard recently expanded its reach by adding a visually enhanced browser extension to Firefox for Android. It even entered the metaverse by launching dedicated VPN and ad blocking extensions on Meta Quest.
While this new 7-day offer is currently leading the iOS launch, it remains to be seen if the company plans to introduce an identical native trial for Android and desktop users. TechRadar has reached out to AdGuard directly to ask if this 7-day free trial will be extended to their other apps and we will update this article if we hear back.
Meanwhile, if you’re looking to explore VPNs with free trials, iPhone users now have a great excuse to try the updated AdGuard app.
