Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived at Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for an official two -day visit, where he was received by Prime Minister Uzbek, Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov.

During his visit, Shehbaz will hold bilateral conversations with President Uzbeko Shavkat Mirziyoyev, focusing on connectivity, trade, investment, energy, defense, regional stability and education. The two leaders will also exchange opinions on regional and international matters of mutual interest.

The authorities have confirmed that multiple agreements and comprehension memorandes (MOU) will be signed to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz will also go to the Pakistan-Uzbekistan business forum, where the main business leaders of both countries will participate in B2B meetings to explore commercial opportunities.

Upon arrival, the prime minister visited the monument to Independence in Tashkent, where he placed a crown of flowers as a gesture of respect.
