Agriforce launches a gas bitcoin mining site in Alberta, plans expansion to 1 eh/s

Agriforce Growing Systems (Agri), a small agricultural firm that Bitcoin Mining recently adopted, has launched its first bitcoin

Mining and digital computing site in Berwyn, Alberta, using natural gas stranded to feed 120 mining machines.

The site, developed with Blueflare Energy, marks the company’s first operational milestone into a broader strategy to convert natural gas outside the network into energy -supported digital infrastructure.

Berwyn’s installation currently attracts 425 kW and offers more than 32 petahas per second (pH/s) of computing power. A second development phase will expand the capacity of another 200 kW. Blueflare systems control emissions and provide real -time telemetry through their patented monitoring technology of the operating and carbon system.

The use of chopped gas to extract bitcoin is a way in which miners seek to use a cheaper energy source to compensate part of the margin squeeze that harms the industry. For several years, bitcoin mining of chipped gas has been a tendency for miners to monetize excessive walled natural gas produced when oil and gas companies pierce fossil fuels.

This deployment is part of Agriforce’s three -pointed strategy: Bitcoin mining, building modular calculation infrastructure and monetizing energy directly.

This approach won a traction with a new binding agreement between Agriforce and Blueflare to expand operations to two Alberta additional sites, in Oten and Hinton. Combined, these implementations could add 1.3 MW of computation with natural gas, which supports tasks beyond Bitcoins mining, such as the inference of the AI model and edge computing for industrial devices.

The Agriforce model is looking for network networks to take advantage of unused energy reserves and quickly put them online. The company says that it has already extracted seven BTC in its Alberta and Ohio sites and plans to retain up to half its Bitcoin holdings while using the rest for operational expansion.

Agriforce aims to climb to 1 exahash per second (EH/s) of calculation capacity in Q1 2026, positioning itself as a player at the intersection of energy markets and decentralized infrastructure.
