The new field marshal Tommy Castellanos led a hurried attack for Florida State with 78 yards and a touchdown when the seminols surprised no. 8 Alabama 31-17 on Saturday, ending the streak of 23 consecutive victories in seasonal openers.
The Crimson Tide entered Saturday’s game with victories in each of its last 23 seasonal openers. The state of Florida ended the 2024 season with only two victories and was not united when its meeting with Alabama began. The defeat of early season already puts doubts to No. 8 of the American University Football playoffs of Alabama.
