- AI agents could save the adopters at a scale $ 382 million, but only $ 76 million for slow users
- Most companies agree that AI agents would give them a competitive advantage
- Companies must develop ethics and confidence in their processes
According to Capgemini Research, AI agents could generate up to $ 450 billion in economic value by 2028 through a combination of income and cost savings for companies, but not all companies are positioned equally to obtain rewards.
The report explains how the adopters of the agents of the SCALED could see an impulse of $ 382 million in the next three years, compared to only $ 76 million for the adopters on low scale.
Stiring, the global average of organizations that have completely climbed the implementation of AI agents is only 2%, and in the United Kingdom, it is even lower, 1%.
To benefit from AI, you must climb it correctly
The investigation found that almost half (47%) of the United Kingdom companies are piloting AI agents or testing new cases of use, with about fifth (19%) that have already partially implemented them. The majority (93%) agree that the scale of the agents of AI would give them a competitive advantage during the next year, with customer service, IT and sales with the most likely to make the greatest rewards.
However, now that many companies go from experimentation to implementation, trust in autonomous agents is decreasing. Only 27% of global participants now trust AGENTIC, compared to 43% last year. UK Trust is slightly higher than the global average, but the fall from 50% to 32% remains in line with the global feeling.
“The center of this transformation is the need to generate trust in AI ensuring that it develops in a responsible manner, with ethics and baked security from the beginning,” explained the Capgemini CTO and the director of products Franck Grevereie.
In addition, the same key challenges are to prevent companies from climbing AI: four out of five organizations lack the mature infrastructure of AI, with less than one in five highly preparation reports. As we know, AI is as good as the data it uses. Other barriers include low literacy and internal privacy of AI.
