- Orange Pi AI Studio Pro offers 192 GB memory and 352 tops ai performance
- Limited connectivity could hinder adoption despite the dual processors of Huawei Ascend 310 inside
- The device admits Linux, with the compatibility of Windows promised in the next releases
Orange Pi has presented a compact computer focused on AI that pushes the limits of what can be a mini PC.
The Orange Pi AI Studio Pro admits up to 192 GB of LPDDR4X memory, a huge amount of RAM for a system as small, but as impressive as it is, is the computing power on board what really stands out.
Promoted by a dual configuration of Huawei Ascend 310, it is claimed that it can deliver 352 billion operations per second in AI work loads, far beyond what most consumer processors marketed for AI can deliver.
But what about the ports?
For example, Ryzen Ai Max+ 395 of AMD, which appears in a growing number of mini PC, has a 50 tops classification, which means that Studio Pro seems much more capable, at least on paper.
It is worth noting that these numbers are only for AI tasks instead of the general calculation performance, so it is clear that Orange Pi wants to position your hardware for dedicated automatic learning and inference on the desk or edge.
Orange Pi says that the system is capable of handling local implementations of large distilled models such as Deepseek-R1, along with applications in office automation, content generation, IoT and intelligent transport.
The device can be had with 96 GB or 192 GB of memory that runs up to 4266mbps.
The twin fans handle cooling, and the housing includes power controls, LED indicators and even RGB lighting.
However, connectivity is very limited, since the only high -speed port available is a single USB4 connection, which means that buyers will probably need a center or a spring to attach screens, external storage and the like.
The device runs Ubuntu 22.04.5 with Linux 5.15 only at this time, but Windows Support is coming.
The Orange Pi AI Studio Pro is priced at around $ 1,900 for the 96 GB edition, with the 192GB model that costs around $ 2,200.
The listings show that the system is currently on sale in China, but it can also be purchased internationally through Aliexpress.
