AJK CJ VOICES SOLIDARITY WITH IIOJK people

The president of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Ajksc), Raja Saeed Akram Khan, expressed their solidarity with the people of illegally occupied India Jammu and Cashmira (Iiojk) for their incomparable sacrifices in the struggle for self -determination.

The president of the Supreme Court was heading to the opening ceremony of the Ajksc Golden Jubilee celebrations in Muzaffrabad on Thursday.

Marking 50 years since the establishment of the Apex Court in 1975, the president of the Supreme Court Akram extended congratulations to the people of the State, as well as to judges, lawyers and past citizens of all areas of life. He also paid tribute to former leading judges and judges, both deceased and lively, who laid the foundations for a progressive and efficient justice system in AJK.

In a strong message of solidarity, the president of the Supreme Court reaffirmed the unwavering support of the people of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan by the oppressed people of Iiojk, condemning the illegal occupation of India and unconstitutional actions. He homa tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs of Kashmira and expressed the hope that the dawn of freedom will soon be rushed over the occupied region.

Reflecting on the evolution of the Judiciary, the president of the Supreme Court Akram said that the Ajk Supreme Court has resisted the challenges and milestones to emerge as a lighthouse of justice. He pointed out that no case prior to 2024 is currently pending before the Court, an unparalleled record in the region.

The president of the Supreme Court emphasized that delayed justice is denied justice, pointing out delays in the implementation of judicial decisions and systemic inefficiencies, such as postponements, lawyers in absence and bureaucratic bottlenecks. He requested responsibility and collective reform, including judges, lawyers and court personnel.

The president of the Supreme Court also accredited the Islamic Ideology Council, under its leadership, with the review and recommendation of amendments to align the laws with Islamic principles.

He praised social harmony in Ajk, citing low crime rates, sectarian unit and transparent governance as distinctive stamps of the social model of the region. He urged all institutions (Judiciary, Executive and Legislature) to remain within their constitutional limits while working towards a state of well -being based on the rule of law, merit and justice.
