Alec Baldwin reflects on divorce luggage and its impact on parenting skills

Alec Baldwin is opening on his divorce with Kim Basinger in 2002 and how he still affects his breeding of the children.

Alec, who shares his daughter Ireland with Kim, opened on divorce during the reality show of his and wife Hilaria The Baldwins. It was “unnecessarily difficult” and altered its relationship with Ireland.

“My divorce with Ireland’s mother was not easy. It is not easy. Very long, very expensive. I mean, just madness, just madness,” Alec said in a confessional.

“I was on a plane every two weeks throughout the school year. I flew from one side to another from New York to Los Angeles 18 times a year. I received a house like eight doors from my daughter and her mother, and then I thought that would improve things, and did not improve things. So it became, as it is still, difficult and unnecessarily difficult in that way,” he shared.

“Because my relationship with Ireland was negatively affected by my experience there that divorced his mother, that when it comes to these other children, I bring all that luggage to this situation, unfortunately,” he admitted.

“That is why I think I am so focused on raising this level, so to speak, be in a lot and take them to school most of the days, instead of working,” he explained.

The divorce of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger occurred after twenty years of marriage.
