
Ireland Baldwin has attacked “narcissistic” members of her family and vowed to separate them as her 30th birthday approaches.

“I reach 30 with much less weight on my shoulders,” he wrote. “This weight was brought on by the need to continue carrying around the narcissistic, untrustworthy and addicted family members I thought I needed in my life.”
The model and new mom admitted that she grew up “without two parents in my house and no siblings to turn to,” which made her crave validation from certain family members.
“I had a lonely childhood at times, so I grew up feeling like I needed to win over certain people in my own family. For some reason, their validation and praise was meaningful to me,” she confessed.
Ireland said the turning point came when he finally realized how “poisonous” these dynamics were.
“Nothing was more liberating than finally realizing how poisonous these people are,” he continued. “So I slowly get into my thirties with the understanding that this is how you break these cycles.”
