A tense meeting in the courtroom took place on Saturday between Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) the sister of the founder Imran Khan, Aleem Khan, and former MNA Kanwal Shauzab party, after the circulation of a video in which Shauzab seemed to criticize Alama.
In the video, Shauzab allegedly criticized Aleema for not respecting the party officials and the interim president BarrĂmor Gohar Ali Khan, claiming that he was working to destroy the party and intended to face it directly on the subject.
During a hearing in the Anti -Terrorist Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi, both women exchanged words briefly. Shauzab approached Aleema, saying: “Aleema Apa, I want to talk to you.” Aleem replied: “Just leave it, that’s fine. Many people talk against us. Now we are accustomed to such accusations.”
Shauzab tried to clarify, saying: “A specific part of an old video was selectively edited and used against me,” but Aleem left, apparently ignoring his attempt to reconciliation.
Meanwhile, the ATC rejected the request of Aleema Khan in search of exemption of appearances in the court and permission to travel abroad for fundraising events.
Aleema’s legal team argued that she had been invited as the main guest to events of the University of Namal and the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital in the United Kingdom, but prosecutor Zaheer Shah opposed the request, stating that she did not have an active role in fundraising activities.

Later, the court issued a written verdict, denying the request and rejecting its plea to travel abroad.
In statements to the media after the audience, Aleema expressed his frustration because he was denied permission to travel. “I’ve been going on the courts during the past week looking for a travel permission. Why are you afraid of me?” She questioned.
He also criticized the comparisons that were made between his case and the high profile scandals that involve figures such as Ayyan Ali and Khawaja Asif, stating: “Even those involved in important scandals were granted the bond. The only accusation against me is that I transmitted a message from Imran Khan to the party workers, and so that I am facing legal actions.”
When addressing the issue of political dynasties, Aleema said: “Yes, we are hereditary and we are standing with our brother. No one can stop.”
She reiterated that the family is united behind Imran Khan and decided to ensure her liberation. “The founder of PTI is not alone, his family is with him. This is our duty and we will fulfill it,” he added. “We are standing next to him in this battle, in this fight.”
