Aleem Khan condemns violence against journalists by PTI workers

Aleem Khan firmly condemned violence against journalists, speaking with the media near Adiala Road, Dahgal Naka, Rawalpindi.

He accused certain elements of provoking and increasing the situation. “When someone is intentionally sent, that is not journalism,” he added, “it became the purpose of inciting people.”

Aleem Khan defended his commercial interests against accusations, challenging critics to provide evidence. “It is the work of a journalist; if they have evidence, they should present it,” he said, “I am saying that my property is of my legitimate and legally won money.”

She dismissed the accusations that the egg launch incident was organized. “If they threw an egg by my own orders, why did the police take those two women to protect them?”

“If my children had come,” he said, “they would also have been accused of terrorism. That is exactly the reason we came here alone today.”

“Whatever Naeem Panjuthha did,” he added, “asked Naeem Panjutha.”

Earlier on Monday, a journalist was assaulted outside the Adiala prison after he asked Aleema Khan, sister of the founder of PTI Imran Khan, about her alleged properties in the United States.

Police have registered a case against Khan, PTI Tanveer Aslam legislator, Bushra Bibi’s focal person, Naeem Panjutha, and 40 workers not identified for their alleged participation.

According to the FIR housed in the complaint of the journalist Tayyab Baloch, the incident occurred after the audience of the Toshakhana-II case.

Baloch declared that he was present outside the door of the Adial prison with other media representatives when Aleema Khan began a talk in the media.

During the interaction, Panjutha allegedly shouted: “Teach him a lesson to interrogate Aleema Khan.”

The complaint said that PTI MPA Tanveer Aslam, along with party workers identified as Azfar and Tuma, grabbed it, threw it to the ground and subjected it to severe violence.
