Alishba Khan Barech appointed for the Global Award

Islamabad:

Alishba Khan Barech of Nushki, Baluchistan, has been selected as a finalist for women 2025 who change the World Awards.

Among 751 preselected nominations, the judges have selected Alishba Khan Barech as a finalist of the Young Women of the Year award, recognizing their extraordinary contributions to literature, defense and youth empowerment, said a press release issued here on Friday.

Coming from Nushki, near the Afghan border, a region often associated with militancy, Alishba is determined to redefine its legacy. Instead of a militant, she hopes to be the one who shapes her narrative. She is the youngest novelist of Pakistan, after having written her debut novel in 11, and the youngest memory in the country, beginning her memoirs at 14. At 16, she became the youngest self -edged author of Pakistan.

His trip extends beyond literature: he has served as an ambassador of UNICEF Pakistan for the eradication of polyomyelitis, a youthful mental health ambassador to the ON MY MINDEF campaign in UNICEF and a youth ambassador of the Quetta gladiators.
