A large -scale operation has been launched in the Metropolitan City in the directives of Prime Minister Murad Ali Shah to eliminate illegal parking spaces and improve traffic flow through the metropolis.
According to a statement issued by the home of the principal minister, the operation aims to address long -standing traffic congestion problems and facilitate the softest movement for citizens.
As part of the new measures, all forms of parking have been strictly prohibited along II Chundrigar Road, from the Shaheen complex to the Torre de Mera. A prohibition in vehicle parking has also been imposed from Muhammad Bin Qasim Road to Dr. Ziauddin Road, extending to SM Law College. In addition, parking on sidewalks or roads has been banned throughout the city.
The main minister has ordered the authorities to enforce these rules rigorously, warning that offenders will face strict legal actions. He has also instructed that citizens use the railway land as a designated parking installation.
In a related movement, the Transit Police has been ordered to take energetic measures against vehicles with elegant or lower quality plates, as well as those without the proper record. Only the standard government numbers plates will be considered valid in the future.
DIG traffic confirmed that Karachi’s Traffic Police is implementing a zero tolerance policy online with the orders of the Prime Minister. He added that immediate legal measures will be taken against those who operate illegal parking and violate traffic regulations.
