In the Afghan refugee field No. 16 in the city of Haripur, a horrible incident occurred in which five men allegedly violated a 21 -year -old woman, police said on Saturday.
A first information report (FIR) has been registered, and the police have launched an investigation. According to the FIR, the victim was heading to camp No. 16 for work when five men dragged her by force to the nearby fields and raped her for two hours.
The FIGUE also said that the perpetrators also snatched RS3,000 in cash and a gold pin from the victim. She identified the suspects such as Bacha, Nadi, Rozi Khan, Javed and Naseer. The complaint added that when he tried to resist, men physically assaulted her, leaving her injured.
The Khalabat police have reserved for the five suspects under section 375a of the Pakistan Criminal Code, which states: “When the violation is committed by two or more people to promote the common intention of each, each of those people will be punished with death or prison for life.”
The incident has caused outrage among local residents, while the victim’s family has demanded exemplary punishment for the culprits.
