Despite being the electronic commerce platform for millions of people around the world, there are times when Amazon might not have existers of a certain product in their stores, but now he has thought of a new way of dealing with the resulting lossed custom .
The company is testing a new feature in its purchasing application that redirects users to other brands websites if it does not have that particular product in stock.
In a blog post, Amazon wrote: “We will show selected products in our search results even if we do not sell them in our store and link to the brand’s website to facilitate customers to buy them there.”

In his announcement, the Seattle giant boasted of the more than 300 million items that entails available with a fast and free primary delivery and the hundreds of millions of products sold in total.
“We are testing that it brings more selection and brands to our search results to help customers find even more than they want and improve our shopping experience for customers even more,” said Rajiv Mehta, Vice President of Search for Amazon and conversational purchases.
Amazon stressed that, if a brand has enabled ‘Buy with Prime’, it can still benefit from the associated benefits, such as customer service 24/7 and quick delivery.
Mehta added: “We are always experiencing with new ways to facilitate customers to find products they want and need when they look for Amazon’s purchasing application.”
The updated function is currently being tested with a “non -revealed customer subset that uses Amazon’s purchasing application in iOS and Android, but there is no broader word. The company added: “We will launch more American customers and incorporate more brands according to the comments.”
