- Nvidia is obtaining an RTX 5080, 5070 TI and 5070 retail stock
- However, an important retailer source states that AMD is pressing much more supply, by a 4x factor
- The RTX 5090 is remarkable as it is not mentioned, despite the recent rumors that Blackwell’s flagship GPU owed an increase in supply
NVIDIA RTX 5000 GPUs are at least seeing that some stock is presented, but the amount is easily surpassed by AMD’s supply of RX 9070 graphics cards, we are listening through the vine.
This is Moore’s law is dead, who has a new YouTube video that discusses, among other issues, the supply levels of these new GPUs.
The source with which youtuber spoke comes from an important online retailer, claiming that the departure has an RTX 5080, as well as RTX 5070 TI and RTX 5070 GPU stock in the last week, so it is a flash of something positive for the situation with the invention of Nvidia, with a little regular resort now in progress.
However, AMD apparently sends a number of RDNA 4 graphics cards that is at least twice the amount of weekly Blackwell GPUs combined (in total), and up to four times more in some cases (varying week by week).
Obviously, take this with great caution, but it seems that Team Red is maintaining consistent and considerable leadership about NVIDIA in the GPU rest race.

Analysis: A ray of hope for Nvidia, but it is difficult to feel positive about the Blackwell stock
At least now there is more refueling activity with Nvidia, or so it seems, but if AMD is really quadrupleting the amount of stock team Green can gather in a few weeks, with the RX 9070 models that arrive in four quantities compared to the total RTX 5080, RTX 5070 TI and RTX 5070 shipments, that is a Gulf of operations.
Obviously, this is just a single -retailer talk, which is a very limited view of the general image. But what we have seen lately is more widely that AMD RDNA 4 GPUs are once again in stock from time to time (we are monitoring it closely), while Nvidia’s Blackwell models still seem to be furtive on the shelves. Therefore, it would not be a surprise if AMD sent many more GPU, something that the Red team has already promised that it would do, could add. (An important retailer from the United Kingdom also supports this, as Overclockers of RX 9070 XT Rompking says that “great shipments are expected in the next 1-2 weeks”, which sounds promising).
Of course, while RX 9070 models seem to be in more or less daily replenishments, these graphics cards are also disappearing very quickly, and AMD’s supply does not yet satisfy the demand of the players. But then, there seems to be a great demand for RDNA 4, which is not surprising given all the negativity around Nvidia in recent times, and the brilliant criticisms that RX 9070 XT has assured.
The result of all this could be that AMD really begins to withdraw the GPU market share, and we have already seen clues that this is exactly what is already happening, even at this early stage. If that continues, well, let’s say that Nvidia has all the reasons to worry, for the aspect of how this is developing.
Finally, what is also remarkable here is that NVIDIA RTX 5090 is not even mentioned in the filtration of that important retailer, so the online store is not obtaining a new stock from the Blackwell badge. Anyway, it is a niche GPU, granted, but there were rumors that there was an increase in the supply for RTX 5090 at the end of March, and not much that remains, nothing (literally).
Is it an increase in RTX 5090 and other Blackwell stock by Nvidia just around the corner? Well, maybe, but it is difficult to feel very positive about that idea, although at least now there is an inventory, even if it is apparently disappointing compared to what AMD has the production lines of RDNA 4.
