Leading mini PC maker Geekom is developing a desktop PC with a Snapdragon X Elite chip, new reports claim.
Reports of The Computer Chapuzas suggest that the rumored QS1 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X1E-80-100 SoC, as well as an Adreno GPU capable of reaching up to 4.6 teraflops.
Similarly, the QS1 Pro will also feature up to 2TB of M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 storage and offer users up to 64GB of LPDRR5-5600 memory.
First Snapdragon X Elite mini PC?
If speculations about the launch of the QS1 Pro come true, it would be the first Snapdragon X Elite mini PC available in the market.
However, there are some inconsistencies with the initial leaks, according to Toms Hardwarewhich pointed out details about the CPU, namely the Snapdragon X1E-80-100, does not match the 4.6 teraflops output capabilities of the Adreno GPU.
Qualcomm’s specification materials show that the GPU could only max out at 3.8 teraflops, for example. This may be a typo, The Computer Chapuzas speculum.
Geekom QS1 Pro: Additional details and launch schedule
Aside from the rumored performance metrics, there are other details about the QS1 Pro available online, especially in terms of its design.
Leaked promotional images show that the mini PC features a sleek case, featuring a power button, a 3.5mm combo jack, and two USB-A ports. Leaks also suggest that the QS1 Pro will include high-end wireless connectivity capabilities as it supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
As of now, there are no concrete details on a possible release schedule for the QS1 Pro and the price has not been determined either.
Before this, the most affordable Snapdragon X PC was the Qualcomm development kit. It was initially touted to launch in June 2024, but Qualcomm revealed in October 2024 that it planned to scrap the long-awaited device.
In a statement at the time, the company said the device “did not meet our usual standards of excellence.”
