Andre Agassi is back on the court, just a smaller one.

He won his first game before leaving his second, but after participating casually over the years, he is hooked.

“Friend, I not only like it, I love it … It is an anomaly to see any support for this type of rhythm, but it is easy to see why,” Agassi said in a recent interview with Pak Gazette Digital. “My family was looking for things to do, and observing how to unite people, generations together, how it breaks the cultural barriers, breaks down gender barriers, the generational barriers, the low entry point, the point of entry, nobody is insinuated to try it, is a challenge at each level. Tell me when to stop, to cry at high voice.”

Agassi learned of “Dreambreaker: a Pickleball Story”, a Netflix documentary directed by Ashley Underwood, Larry David’s wife. She has also caught pickleball fever, which could be an incredible episode of “extrace your antusism.”

Naomi Osaka’s burning message to critics after winning the tournament in France

“I played Pickleball, my husband and I played. We had a fun group during Covid. That is actually when I started,” Underwood told Pak Gazette Digital. “Before I was a tennis player, and someone asked me to play Pickleball, and I fell in love with the sport. I went to a large league pickletball tournament in November 2021, and I could not believe what I saw in the professional game. Simply playing as a completely different sport than recreational players. Only real athletes, incredible to see, and honestly, I saw that this was the birth of a professional sport.

However, despite its tennis success, there are many corners and cracks that Agassi still needs to get used.

“It’s really difficult. These guys are so specialized, it’s so sensitive, so small margin for error,” Agassi said. “There are so many nuances that create opportunities. It is not like ‘seeing space, hitting the space’. There was much that I had to disapprove, but some things came instinctively.

A report found that there were almost 20 million participants in 2024, an increase of 311% compared to 2011.
