Android 16 is already available for Pixel phones (and soon for Galaxy phones), and although the expressive redesign of material 3 we have promised is delayed, it seems that it will reach the application of the Pixel camera in the not too distant future.
As seen by Android Authority, the latest version of the camera application for Pixel devices presents a configuration menu renewal that fits the expressive redesign of material 3, a redesign intended to add more feelings and attract Android images.
The changes in the interface have not yet been enabled, but the Android Authority team has been able to make work: we have subtle changes in funds and spaces that really show the potential of the expressive material 3.
While the difference in the images is not huge, the small touches, such as checks and crosses in alternation switches, make a real difference in how easy the camera configuration is.
A sample of what will come
It is frustrating that the expressive redesign of material 3 is taking time to be implemented, but I prefer that Google takes its time and obtained the new correct aspect, instead of hurrying it and leaving us with applications and interface elements that do not look better.
While the configuration page in the camera application may not be the most exciting screen that you have ever found, I am anxious for renewal: the Android appearance has become a bit rancid in recent years, especially on Pixel phones.
I am a fan of simplicity and minimalism when it comes to the interface design, but Android’s pixel version could definitely use a little more style and emotion, without changing too much, and that is exactly what the expressive design of material 3 is bringing here.
Of course, all this is happening, while Apple Beta proves its own visual renovation of liquid glass for the iPhone and its other devices. That goes far beyond changes in Android 16, with a large number of glass -inspired adjustments and transparency.
