- The Android Auto Spotify application obtains a small useful redesign in the last update
- The slope function allows those who collaborate in reproduction lists
- Minor changes in the user interface make Spotify easier to navigate
A recent update of the Android Auto Spotify application has introduced some practical design settings and an additional feature that allows passengers to get involved in the action of the playlist.
It could be said that the most important update is the addition of the popular function ‘Jam’ that allows anyone in the car to scan a QR code and then join the Jam session to add clues to a shared tail. Save the need for a driver or a front passenger to manually enter musical suggestions.
The driver or owner of the Spotify account linked to the Autoid Auto system still has total control over who can join and suggest music, but the owner must have a Premium of Spotify to start a JAM session. That said, free users can still join the jam.
Some of the other updates are a little less obvious, with a slight update in the user interface that includes a ‘downloaded’ section more outstanding in the library, which allows easier navigation to those clues, podcasts or audiobars that have been downloaded for out -of -line use.
In addition to this, there is a new floating search shortcut that opens a dedicated search page for Spotify, according to 9to5google. Before this update, the voice assistant operated by voice was the only way to look for music safely when driving.
Instead that the Google assistant finds the track and immediately reproduces it, the new dedicated spotify search function allows the user to search for albums and tracks, with the results shown in the Spotify application.
More to come from Android Auto
In May of this year, Google organized its annual I/O event, which introduced new developer programs and tools that would allow greater flexibility on the Autoid Auto platform.
The games and communication applications were a particular approach, with the promise of greater video integration when the vehicle is parked. Google also declared that I was working with OEM to enable audio listening only for video applications while driving.
According to 9to5google, other media applications will receive similar updates in the coming months, with Amazon Music and YouTube Music, all due to an update.
