There was a scary moment in a game of the National Women’s Soccer League on Friday night after a player was hospitalized after an incident in the field.
Angel City defender, Savy King, suffered a “medical event” during the team’s game against the Utah’s real ones.
King fell in the 74th minute and was treated for about 10 minutes before they took it out of the field in a car, leaving other visibly shaken players.

The reports say it seemed that CPR was administered and a DEA was used. The game was stopped for several minutes to treat King.
Finally, it was stretched out of the field, and after the game, both teams and their staff joined in prayer.
The club gave good news after the game.

“EMS transported Sap to the hospital after a medical event in the countryside. She responds and undergoes additional evaluation. We thank everyone for her concern and support,” said Angel City in a statement.
Alex Loera was asked, of the Royals, to direct both teams in prayer, and “of course I am going to do that.”
Alex Loera: “Obviously, Savy King is one of my really good friends … those moments are always so frightening: we all send our thoughts and prayers to the Savy King family,” Loera said.
Utah chief coach Jimmy Coenraets admitted that he was not happy to continue the game, which resulted in a 2-0 victory for the
“I am not sure that we should have continued the game … It was a really difficult time,” said the coach, and added that many people were “scared.”

King, 20, was the second general selection in the 2024 Draft NWSL by Expansion Bay FC and played 18 games for the club. He was changed to Angel City in February and has started in the eight games for the team this season.
