The Los Angeles Angelian prospect, Rio Foster, was hospitalized after a vehicle accident early Friday, the team said.
“Rio is currently receiving medical attention in a local hospital and remains in a critical condition,” Los Angelinos said in a statement. “We ask that the entire community of Los Angeles join our organization to keep River and their family in their hearts during this difficult time.”
Foster, 22, currently plays in the minor leagues at the high level A for the Affiliate of Los Angelinos, the Tri-City Dust Devils. The team was scheduled to face Hillsboro on Friday night, but the game was suspended. The Dust Devils turned to social networks to offer good goods.

“The thoughts and prayers of the entire Dust Devils organization are with Rio Foster, which was a passenger in an early car accident this morning and suffered serious injuries,” the minor leagues published.
Foster was selected in the 16th Round of the 2023 draft after his period at Florence-Darlington Technical College in South Carolina.

He is hitting .267 with 10 homers and 40 races promoted this season and received the honors of the Northwest League player after his outstanding August performance.

“I am only thinking about him and his family. He is a great child. We had him in spring training. It was a bit of posterior draft selection, and he has done some good things. We saw him in the spring training and was named [Northwest League] Player of the month recently, so his career is in a good place. “
Athletics defeated Los Angels on Friday. The second game of the three -game series between athletics and Los Angeles is scheduled for Saturday night.
The Angels enter the action of Saturday in fourth place in the west division of the American League.
