- A variety of Anker energy banks has been removed as fire risks
- Numerous fires and injuries have been informed

Earlier this year, Anker issued a withdrawal of a host of his best energy banks, revealing that they contained defects that potentially turned them into a risk of fire. Now, the US Consumer Product Commission. UU. (USCPSC) has revealed the Retirement Scale.
Previously we did not know how many energy banks were affected by this problem, but the USCPSC website now explains that around 481,000 units could be at risk. That means there could be a lot of people potentially in possession of dangerous energy banks.
And this is not just speculation. Apparently, Anker has received 33 fires of fires or explosions related to removed energy banks, resulting in four minor burning lesions and an instance of “substantial damage to property.” If you have one of these energy banks, you must get rid of it as soon as you can.
The impacted devices have the A1647, A1652, A1257, A1681 and A1689 model numbers (you can see their complete names below). You can verify if your energy bank is affected by verifying your serial number on the Anker website. Anker will provide information on how to return or get rid of the Energy Bank.

In addition, the USCPSC says that you should not throw your device at the trash, place it in a recycling box on the sidewalk or take it to a recycling point in a retail store due to the risk of fire.
Instead, you must communicate with its hazardous waste collection center of closest municipal households to see if they will accept the removed energy bank. If not, your municipality should be able to offer more information.
How to check
The good news is that it will not be high and dry without an energy bank. According to the USCPSC, if affected, you can communicate with Anker for a complete reimbursement in cash. Alternatively, you can receive an Anker gift card.
To receive one of these options, you must first verify that your energy bank is one of those affected (see the numbers of the model above). Then you will need to send your purchase voucher using the Anker products withdrawal shipping form, including a photo of your retired energy bank.
This image must show the model number and serial number of the Energy Bank, it must also include its name and the date on which the photograph was taken, and you must also write the word ‘withdrawal’ in permanent marker in the Energy Bank.
Once everything that is done is done, you should be able to get rid of the affected device. If you believe that your energy bank is at risk, aims to return or eliminate it as soon as possible.
