The security forces successfully frustrated an attempt of terrorist infiltration along the border between Pakistan-Fanganistan in the Northern District of Waziristan of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), killing eight terrorists and hurting four others, the army said in a statement on Sunday.
According to Public Relations between Services (ISPR), the wing of the media of the military, a group of “Khwarij”, a term used for terrorists affiliated with Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), tried to enter the Hassan Khel area during the night. His effort was frustrated after an intense exchange of fire with the security forces.
“At night on April 5/6, the movement of a Khwarij group, trying to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was collected by security forces in the general area Hassan Khel, Northern Wazirist district,” the ISPR said in a statement.
“The troops themselves effectively compromised and frustrated their attempt to infiltrate. After an intense fire exchange, eight khwarij were sent to hell, while four Khwarij were injured.
