The Dallas Mavericks suffered a case of horrible luck on Saturday.
Anthony Davis, the acquisition of the team in his impressive exchange with the Los Angeles Lakers, suffered an injury in the groin in the team’s victory over the Houston Rockets. He left the game early and was discarded for Monday’s contest against the Sacramento Kings.

Davis can be out longer.
ESPN reported that Davis suffered a tension from the left adductor and that he could be out for a few weeks. The striker of power tried to minimize concern about the ailment.
“Only the leg became tight, like a small spasm,” he said after the game against the rockets. “I just returned and tried to release it and everything. Obviously, deal with the AB strain still, so I just tried to release it. I would not really loosen up and release, but it’s nothing serious. I’m fine. I’m fine.”

Luka Dončić Odds: What kind of numbers can support the Lakers?
The concern for Davis’s health is produced in the midst of Luka Doncic Mavericks. The agreement surprised the rest of the league and NBA fans. He resonated so much that the NFL stars were as confused as anyone while he was at the Super Bowl Lix Radio Row in New Orleans last week.
Davis is not a thicket in his own right. The nine-time All-Star played 76 games during the 2023-24 season, but has lost at least 20 games in each of the last five seasons.
