“I have spoken to AJ to personally convey my condolences for the passing of his two closest collaborators, Kevin Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, in the recent accident,” he wrote in a post. “I wished him a speedy and complete recovery and prayed with him. AJ assured me that he is receiving the best care possible.

“I also spoke to her mother and prayed for her. She deeply appreciated the call.”

According to Nigerian officials, Joshua was considered “stable” after the accident. He suffered minor injuries and was otherwise “fine.”

“Following extensive clinical assessments, medical professionals have confirmed that both patients (hospitalized following the accident) are stable and do not require any emergency medical intervention at this time,” said a joint statement from the Lagos and Ogun state governments.

The accident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at 11am local time. Photos showed Joshua beaten and being pulled from the vehicle he was traveling in.

“The vehicle carrying Mr. Joshua, a Lexus SUV, was involved in the accident under circumstances that are currently being investigated. Joshua, sitting in the rear of the vehicle, sustained minor injuries and is receiving medical attention along with another injured person,” the Ogun State Police said in an earlier statement.

A preliminary investigation determined that the vehicle “was traveling beyond the legally established speed limit in the corridor, lost control during an overtaking maneuver and collided with a stationary truck,” which was on the side of the road, according to Federal Road Safety Corps spokesperson Olusegun Ogungbemide.

Ogun State officials said “preliminary reports indicate that two male foreigners died on the spot.”

Joshua recently faced Jake Paul in a boxing match. Paul said he was praying for Joshua.
