The field marshal of the Indianapolis Colts, Anthony Richardson, will be the support for Daniel Jones to begin the 20th season, the team announced on Tuesday.
Richardson was the general selection number 4 of the 2023 draft, but has fought with injuries and a consistent game, which forced the colts to the hands of only a few weeks before the official start of the regular season. Indianapolis will play the Miami Dolphins on September 7.

Deric Jackson, the field marshal agent, responded to the decision of the Colts in a statement to ESPN. He suggested that some of the decision making of Colts Shane Steichen coach when his client put the player in a bad position and may have damaged the credibility of the organization.
“Trust is an important factor and is, at best, questionable at this time,” Jackson told the network. “Anthony returned and made the improvements in the areas he needed to improve. And, according to all the reports, he had a great camp.”

He added that when the team needed a great play in 2024, the ball was put in the hands of Richardson. Despite being in banking for two games, it had 1,814 air yards, eight TouchDown passes and it was 6-5 in the 11 games that started for the team.
Anyway, Steichen chose the former New York Giants player instead of Richardson.
The former leading of the Florida Gators said there were no resentments for the third year chief coach on the decision.

“I think you could say (I was) somewhat surprised, but at the end of the day, we all knew that someone was going to have to be at this end of the stick and, you know, it was me,” said Richardson. “I feel that I improved. My improvement was there, but there are still ways to improve, even so I can become a better player, become a headline in the league.”
