Apple has revealed the first completely new design of iOS since 2013, since it seems to introduce a new appearance and sensation in its devices, and that also means new features for Carplay.
Together with a multitude of new features for iPhone, iPad and Mac, the technological giant also announced that this new new appearance also makes its way to vehicles through Apple Carplay, the intelligent telephone reflex service that allows drivers to take advantage of applications safely while they are behind the steering wheel.

Although it is not the complete review of the one that Apple Carplay Ultra introduces, which sees that Carplay extends far beyond the central info -detriment screen and is effectively responsible for all the screens inside a vehicle, the next regular ol ‘carplay update still brings some useful functions.
1. Easy to the eyes, easier to use
The introduction of iOS 26 will introduce a new spirit of ‘liquid glass’ design that the company describes as a “translucent material that reflects and refracts its surroundings.”
In Slight Speak, the UX acts as a small magnifying glass that highlights the content when a user interacts with him.
The appearance will take to Apple Carplay, so we will not have the two or three static rows of static application icons and instead and, instead, we will have emblems that seem to appear outside the screen.
There is also a navigation bar on the left or the right of the main screen that allows you to easily jump between the most used or favorite applications.
2. Compact view reduces interruptions
Currently, receiving a call while using Carplay can be frustrating, since the incoming call notification becomes entertainment and gets in the navigation path.
Apple’s iOS 26 will get rid of this, since it will present a compact view that offers emerging overlap every time a call arrives.
This makes it much simpler to see who calls and choose to respond or reject, without missing an important turn.
In addition, Apple will also introduce tapbacks and set conversations to the messaging application, which makes it much easier to respond to messages with simple emojis and track conversations without taking your eyes off the way to read text beings.
It seems that Apple will address some of the key concerns with current Carplay, including the requirement of juggling and constantly sliding between the many screens when interacting with several applications.
The introduction of Widgets, which is one of the key components of Apple Carplay Ultra and a characteristic that Android Auto have been able to enjoy for a long time, allows several applications to open effectively on a single screen.
For example, Apple Maps can occupy most of an information and entertainment screen, while widgets next to it can indicate an estimated arrival hour, a condensed icon of the current song that is being reproduced (as well as the ability to omit songs) and even a live flight tracker.
4. Recover the control of calls
Several new characteristics of iOS 26 based on iPhone that have been designed to minimize the distractions will also reach the vehicle, with a call evaluation in the current live email function collecting information about the person who calls and delivering this in the form of notification.
The driver (or any person in the car with an iPhone, for the case) can look at this information and decide whether or not they can bother. It is a useful feature to evaluate the numerous fraudulent calls and irritating sales arguments for which no one has time, especially when driving.
The assistance also speeds up productivity while detecting Hold music and asks the user if you want your place to be maintained automatically. The iPhone will then return the user’s call when an operator becomes free.
This reduces the amount of time dedicated to listening to annoying music in Hold, instead of enjoying a radio station, podcast or spotify reproduction when trying to stay aware of life when it is on the road.
