AppleTV cape fear The series has been on my radar for a while and I was very excited to see the first trailer. The crime horror film remains one of Scorsese’s best works and I feel good about the TV adaptation.
cape fear sees Javier Bardem step into the shoes of Max Cady, a man who has just been released from prison and seeks revenge on the public defenders who hid evidence from him.
In the first trailer, we also see happily married lawyers Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom (Patrick Wilson), who seem to be living the perfect life. Until Cady shows up, of course, giving them exactly what she thinks they deserve.

So far, feedback on the YouTube trailer has been positive. Many people are as excited about the show as I am, with one user writing, “Kudos to the editor of this trailer! Great stuff.”
Another praised Bardem’s portrayal of Cady, saying: “Javier Bardem can do anything, I can’t wait to see this, he looks amazing!”, and someone else echoed those sentiments, adding: “Javi is already scaring me with the trailer alone.”
the casting for cape fear is definitely great, and with Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese serving as executive producers along with series creator Nick Antosca, I’m hopeful this will be considered one of the best shows on Apple TV.
And as a Simpsons fan, I’ve already appreciated all the memes about this, which reference the iconic Sideshow Bob episode. It just shows how iconic cape fear it still is.
We’ll have to wait and see for ourselves when the series arrives this summer, but the trailer is certainly promising.
