- Apple iOS 18.4 update will add new functions to the photos application
- Some of the new features include new filtering options and a new privacy settings.
- iOS 18.4 could arrive through an official launch as soon as April
The next Apple software update, iOS 18.4, is currently being tested in the developer and public betas, and according to 9to5Mac, you can expect a generalized deployment from April.
Although we originally expected based on the rumors that we would get our first glance to the Siri infused with AI, the early betas of iOS 18.4 showed no signs, and Apple has confirmed a delay in the set of characteristics. Even so, we have noticed four major changes in the Apple Photos application that we cannot ignore.
The updates to Apple Photos filtering options are just one of the new features we guess a few weeks ago, and the new images that have emerged from their beta tests show that we guess correctly. The four new features are relatively small, but provide more flexibility to administer their privacy and find and organize photos in their gallery.
Everyone is ready to be quite useful if you trust photos to administer all your photograph. Then, before Apple leaves iOS 18.4 for the iPhone, along with ipados and macOS, let’s take a look at the latest additions to the photos application.
PRIVITY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ALBUM
In recent years, Apple has doubled its privacy functions within its application photos, and iOS 18.4 will continue to do so with a new option to disable albums.
Once installed, you will have the ability to disable your ‘recently viewed’ and ‘recently shared’ galleries going to the configuration application and selecting ‘applications’ and then ‘photos’. Once disabled, these albums can be seen alone in public services.
New filtering functions in your gallery
Instead of spending large amounts of time moving through its gallery to find a specific image that you want to edit or show your friends, Apple photos have many filtering options to make this much more manageable.
The iOS 18.4 update includes two new filtering options, ‘shared with you’ and ‘Not on an album’, which can be found under the two arrow icons in the lower left.
This feature will make it easier to distinguish between photos that others have sent you to you and those that you have not yet ordered in albums. In addition, you will also find new classification features when you go to albums and touch the three points in the upper right corner, which will allow you to filter only to show albums or just show folders.
The album classification becomes easier
You can already order your photo albums in two categories, ‘order by name’ and ‘order of personal order’, and a third arrives with iOS 18.4. The new ‘Sort By Date Modified’ will organize its albums and folders in an order that shows its most recently modified at the top.
Recover and delete photos once
This is not necessarily a new addition to the photos, but rather a renewal of an existing feature that allows you to eliminate and recover all your photos at the same time.
In iOS 18.4, its recently eliminated photo album will have a new garbage icon that can play to eliminate all its photos permanently eliminated. Alternatively, the same works with the recovery of his photos when he plays the new button ‘Recover everything’.
