Arch Manning was a great draw in the days of the media of the SEC last season, but now that it is officially the seafaring of the Texas Longhorns, the attention was even greater on Tuesday.

However, this is what Manning wanted, at least in terms of where he is playing football.

The nephew of the winning quartels of the Super Bowl Peyton and Eli Manning, as well as the grandson of the Legend of the Saints of New Orleans, Archie Manning, explained how to transfer outside the long program was never a thought process for him.

“I think the main thing was that I wanted to be at the University of Texas,” said Manning, through On3 Sports. “There is no other place that I would like to be, be it the school itself, Austin, my friends, the football program. So, while continuing to improve in football and as where I was, it was obvious for me to stay.”

When Quinn Eweers returned for the 2024 university football season instead of entering the NFL draft, it was speculated that Manning would go to another place so he could start.

Instead, he stayed to support Ewers once again, and was necessary for 10 games this season because his teammate was injured.

Peyton Manning says that the nephew Arch has ‘arrogance’ of his father, athletic skills that ‘jumped a generation’

Manning launched for 939 yards with nine pass touchdowns and two interceptions in that period, completing 67.8% of its passes.

He also showed some wheels when he had to get and run, running for 108 yards in 25 haules with four touchdowns too.

Now, Manning knows that he has the keys to the offensive of Chief coach Steve Sarkisian, and it is time to show what he can really do when he starts consistently.

However, the exaggeration around Manning is nothing new. Upon arriving as a main prospect at the Isidore Newman school, as well as his father Cooper and his uncles, Manning has dealt with the National Care Center and, in turn, comparisons with his family members.

Peyton recently talked about “The Pat McAfee Show” about his nephew, where he said that he and Eli are surely resources for him. However, he knows that Arch wants to make a name, and his father has done a fantastic job to help him reach this point too.

“You know that Pat, Eli and I are his uncles,” Peyton told McAFee. “We try to be there as a resource for him, but Cooper has done a great job with Arch, and they have handled all the different things that have reached the right way. I am excited to see Arch play. He has been very patient. I thought he threw the ball really well in the camp.”

Peyton also mentioned how he liked to see his nephew stay in Texas and learn in the last two seasons.

“He has been patient,” Peyton explained. “He has been well documented, he has been there two years. I think that in the domain of the system in which you are. When you have new coordinators every year in the NFL and the University, that is frustrating for me. I was lucky … the fact that Sarkisian calls the works and the arch has already been there for two years and the system will know, that will be a great advantage for him.

“I really want to see him go out to the field. He has worked very hard. I love seeing him to go to that camp for his teammates. That is a good teammate. That is a good wing. I am excited to go there and see some games in Austin.”
