Arch Manning will enter his first season as the senior marshal of the Texas Longhorns with high expectations, although he has only started two games in his young career.

Mack Brown, a former chief coach in Texas and North Carolina, made another wild comparison with Manning, comparing it with the legendary Lariscal Mariscal de Campo de Larchorns, Vince Young.

“It also seems that he listens. He is very humble,” Brown said in a recent appearance in “The Stampede.” “He said that it has been written too much about me, more than I have achieved. I mean, it is a bit self -critical. But I like it. It looks a lot like link to the same age.”

Young didn’t need to throw too much in its second season while the team rode on the back of Cedric Benson in the field. It was his junior season in which he exploded, won the offensive player award of the year Big 12 and took the Longhorns to an impressive victory of the National Championship over USC. It had 3,036 air yards and 26 TouchDown passes that season.

Brown also liked how Manning was held during his appearance in the days of the media of the SEC last week and how he avoided questions about what other coaches had said about him.

Manning is more polished with the media than most, and has had many models to follow those to admire. He is the son of Cooper Manning, who was a great football of high school in his own right, and the nephew of the champions of the Super Bowl Peyton and Eli Manning. He is also Archie Manning’s grandson.

The lineage is there, but it will soon be time to shut up and play football.

He had 939 air yards and nine touchdown passes last season. However, his first task as headline will be to face the national defender champion Ohio State Buckeyes on August 30.
