Joe Burrow completed one of the best university football seasons of all time when he established the record of a season for TouchDown passes (60) on his way to a national championship in 2019.

The former Western Kentucky field marshal, Bailey Zappe, finally broke Burrow’s record when he launched 62 TouchDown passes in 2021. But the National Burrow National Championship season in LSU is something that seemed to have stayed with his former chief coach Ed Orgeron.

While the sports world prepared for the next university football season, Orgeron said he sees a little burrow at the Texas Lonchorns Marshal, Arch Manning.

“I had the opportunity to go to Texas and talk to his clinic,” he said in “Forgiveness of my opinion” by Barstool Sports. “And I saw the practice. Now, we knew Arch Manning as a little boy from Louisiana. Joe Brady liked it. We saw him (as recruit). But I saw his practice (in Texas).

“And I will say this conservatively, and recruit (current LSU field marshal) Garrett (Nussmeier), Garrett is a great player … but Arch is so close, or maybe as good as, Joe (Burrow) as I have seen. And I have never said that about anyone.”

Manning will have the eyes of the world of university football and the world of NFL by observing it closely. He will obtain his first important test on August 30 when the Lonchorns play the national defender champion Ohio State Buckeyes. Not to mention that Texas occupied the number 1 position in the American football survey of the preseason Associated Press Top 25.

“I am not really sure of how they obtained these opinions because I have only played, what? Two games?” Manning said recently. “I guess it’s kind to say it, but it doesn’t mean anything. Talking is cheap, I have to go try.”
