We’ve been regularly impressed with OneOdio’s budget headphones, like the OneOdio Focus A6, which offer very good performance at very low prices. But even by OneOdio standards, the new Focus A1 Pro is ridiculously cheap for noise-cancelling headphones: the official price is $34.99/£39.99, and if you buy them from Amazon UK, you can get them for £35.19.
A low price definitely doesn’t mean low specs or low expectations. These are Bluetooth 6.0 headphones with hybrid ANC, fast charging, and a decent frequency response, and while you don’t get fancy hi-res audio codecs at this price, they’ll probably sound pretty good with standard Bluetooth audio codecs.
OneOdio Focus A1 Pro: Key Features
The OneOdio Focus A1 Pro features 40mm dynamic drivers with PET diaphragms and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. Bluetooth 6.0 with multipoint pairing makes it easy to move between devices, and there’s a low-latency gaming mode with a claimed response time of about 0.089 seconds for precise syncing with games and videos.
The Focus A1 Pro are foldable and lightweight, weighing just 200g, and the leatherette ear pads should be comfortable for long listening. The battery offers just that, with up to 70 hours of playback with ANC disabled, plus fast charging that can offer five hours of listening with 10 minutes of charging.
We haven’t yet tested these headphones to see if they can hold their own against the best noise-canceling headphones in their price range, but when we reviewed the Focus A6 from the same company, we praised the ANC – it’s not up to par with Bose’s best, but it’s perfectly fine for daily commuting and does a good job of keeping the outside world out.
We also liked its sound and the companion app has an adjustable equalizer so you can hear the sound without problems. We felt the Focus A6 was “tremendous value for money” at an RRP of $55/£55/AU$112; The Focus A1 Pro is even more affordable and offers very similar specifications.
