- PlayStation Link is now fully functional on PC
- The latest controller update adds a PC user interface for full customization
- Your PC now must immediately recognize the device and compatible headphones.
Some good news if you want to use your PlayStation Pulse Elite or Pulse explore Earbuds on PC, since the PlayStation link adapter has just received a large firmware update.
As detailed on the official PlayStation link support website, the adapter now has complete compatibility with Games PC. While the PlayStation link was compatible with PC before, it was strictly so that it could use its PlayStation audio hardware, and did not really present any benefit related to the software.
Now, however, the PlayStation Link PC controller has a dedicated user interface for its headphones, allowing you to adjust the volume of headphones and microphone, firmly update and, perhaps the most important thing, adjust and customize your equalizer profiles.
In addition, your PlayStation Link device must now be immediately recognized by your PC without any additional frustration, although you probably need to ensure that the latest firmware version is updated.
Doing doing could not be easier, fortunately. You only need to connect your PC bond through USB, and should be updated automatically. Then, open the PS link controller software on your PC and follow the screen instructions to configure everything.
If you are not seeing updates of any kind, do not stress. Sony says that the driver update “gradually until October 2, 2025” is implementing, so the worst case may have to wait a few weeks depending on its region.
