The unit in charge of investigating the connection of President Javier Milei with the memecoin of Libra has dissolved after sharing his findings with the prosecutor’s office.
The Investigation Tasks Unit (UTI) has achieved its objective, declared a decree issued by the Ministry of Justice on Monday. The document was signed by Milei and Justice Minister Mariano Cúino Libarona.
The unit received assistance from a series of government agencies in the course of its investigation, including the Argentine Central Bank and the Anti -Corruption Office.
In February, Milei tweeted on Libra, a memecoin based in Solana; Currency market capitalization increased to $ 4.5 billion before making more than 80% in a couple of hours.
Libra’s cooker, Hayden Davies, had previously stated that he could “control” Milei due to the payments he had made to the president’s sister, Karina, an important figure of the Milei government.
