The main defendant in the case of abduction and murder of Mustafa, Armaghan, was allegedly responsible for supplying hundreds of young people on drugs and also submitted several girls and boys to torture, a government lawyer informed the Anti -Terrorist Court (ATC) on Tuesday.
The case is related to the alleged kidnapping and murder of a BBA student after it disappeared on January 6. During today’s procedures, the Police produced Armaghan in the Court.
At the beginning of the hearing, the lawyer informed the court that the defendant was “a very intelligent person” and that the investigation team has not yet recovered the accused’s murder weapon.
Easing even more, the lawyer added that Armaghan stayed in Skardu after committing the crime and returned to Karachi by road. He also said that a forensic examination for the 64 laptops seized of the defendant’s residence was required.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other institutions have also launched an investigation, a investigation officer told the ATC judge, added that they have to recover the murderer.
The IO added that the defendant was still revelations, therefore, it should be sent to physical request until March 10.
The judge questioned how many cases they appeared against the accused. The lawyer said that Armaghan also faced cases presented by the Department of Contribution (CTD).
Then, the court questioned the deadline for the presentation of a charges. The government’s lawyer replied that the investigation has not yet completed and again requested an extension of Armaghan’s physical prison.
The court accepted the plea and extended the physical return of the accused until March 10.
In another development today, the Co-Accused, Shiraz, was sent to the prison in judicial prison by the ATC.
The entire saga developed after Armaghan opened fire to a team of the anti-violent criminal cell (AVCC), a specialized Karachi police unit responsible for addressing cases related to murders and extortion, during a raid in its residence in the Karachi DHA earlier this month.
The body of the deceased, found by the police in a car near the hub control point on January 12 and buried by the Edhi Foundation on January 16, was then exhumed and subsequently buried after an initial report of DNA profiles confirmed that the mortal remains belonged to Mustafa.
Previously, it was learned that the arrest of Armaghan and Sahir Hasan, son of a renowned actor, has interrupted the operations of the drug cartel in the luxury neighborhoods of Karachi, the news reported.
With possible faceties for money laundering, fraud and an illegal call center, the investigation also unravels the presence of alleged drug trafficking in that case.
The resulting repression has caused a detention in the supply of marijuana, commonly known as grass, causing massive financial losses to drug traffickers.
