Three people, including two Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police officers (KP), were killed Sunday morning in a weapons attack against a patrol of the Special Tax Department in the Pabbi area of ​​the Nowshera district.

The shooting occurred around 2 in the morning when the assailants not identified in a white double -cab vehicle opened fire after being indicated to stop.

The Mujahid Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed agents were killed in the place, while the sub -inspector Farooq Bacha suffered multiple gunshot wounds. His driver also received a deadly shot.

Bacha was transferred to Lady Reading hospital in Peshawar in critical condition, according to the authorities.

The funeral sentences for the murdered officers were later carried out in the police lines, attended by KP Qasim Khan police chief and senior special tax officials.

Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur condemned the attack and promised full support for the families of the victims.

“Justice will be served,” he said, ordering the authorities to quickly apprehend to the culprits.

The main secretary of KP also sought a detailed report, noting that special officials had actively participated in counteracting operations.

“His sacrifices will not go in vain,” he said, promising expanding the repression of narcotics and illicit trade.
