The Austrian and American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger had to admit that he was very practice to nail the tango scene with Canadian actor Carrie-Anne Moss for season 2 of the Netflix action comedy series “Fubar”.
“We practiced. We practiced a lot, and she didn’t need as much practice as me, but I really practiced,” said the former governor of California to Reuters.
The actor “Terminator” recalled having made the first shot for the dance scene and impressing everyone with how ready they were.
“They simply thought we were rehearsing, but they didn’t know we were so prepared for everything,” said Schwarzenegger with a smile.
Season 2 of “Fubar”, created by Nick Santora and produced by Skydance Television and Blackjack Films, premiered in Netflix last Thursday.
The story follows Luke Brunner, played by Schwarzenegger and his daughter Emma, played by Monica Barbaro, both CIA agents.
His fellow members of the CIA team include Barry Putt, played by Milan Carter, Boro Poland, played by Gabriel Luna, Roo Russell, played by Fortune Feimster and Aldon Reese, portrayed by Travis Van Winkle.
In season 2, Brunner has returned to work with his CIA team, but things take an unexpected turn when he meets his former lover Greta Nelson, played by Carrie-Anne Moss.
Greta is a former Eastern Germany who ends up facing Brunner in both tango and a fight battle.
“Most of my scenes are with Arnold, so we develop this incredible friendship,” said Carrie-Anne.
Schwarzenegger remembered the actor “Matrix” with humor that he brought what he called “secret oil” to the set and put it behind his ears before filming a scene.
“Mint oil. I am a large mint oil or simply an essential oil person,” said Carrie-Anne.
“It was like a little magical power because as soon as she stained things behind my ears, I mean it was like ‘Pum!’ And we were out of the door making our scenes in the most perfect way, “Schwarzenegger added.
