The Olympic hero of Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem, has once again demonstrated his domain in the field by ensuring a place in the final of the male javelin launch in the 2025 Asian athletic championship with an impressive launch of 86.34 meters in his first attempt according to the sources of private news channels.
Competing in group A during the qualification round, the powerful launch of Nadeem placed it immediately at the top of the classification and confirmed its qualification for the final, scheduled for May 31 at the standard time of Pakistan (PKT) of 1.10 pm
This marks its first major international appearance since its 92.97 m launch record of the Gold Medal at the Paris Olympic Games of 2024.

Uniting him in the final is his companion Pakistani Jabalina Yasir Sultan, who qualified for group B with a respectable effort of 76.7m. The duo is part of a compact Pakistani athletics squad of five members currently competing in Gumi, South Korea.
Nadeem, who was recently honored with the Asian Athlete Best Athlete Award for the Asian Athletics Association, aims to add another gold medal to its growing collection, which includes titles from the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and other regional competitions.

This launch reinforces its status as one of the main athletics athletes in Asia and a strong medal contender. The Pakistan Athletics Federation expressed its confidence in the team, emphasizing its ambition not only to compete but to win.

“This is the first important event after the Olympic Games, and I have been working hard during the last five months,” said Nadeem previously. “I don’t compete with anyone else, my competition is with Arshad Nadeem himself.”
Previously, Nadeem was appointed the best Asian athlete by Asian athletics, which recognized its notable achievements in the continental stage.
2025 Asian athletics championships have more than 2,000 athletes from 43 countries. With the most decorated athlete of Pakistan in a maximum way, national hopes are high for another podium.
Nadeem will go to England after this championship to begin preparations for the World Athletics Championship in September.
