
Ashton Kutcher believes his appearance has cost him acting roles.
The 47-year-old star explained that she missed out on projects because her leading lady appearance was deemed unsuitable for certain roles.
according to PEOPLE Ashton Magazine recently said at New York Comic Con: “I think every role you get, part of it is your look, right? It’s a very important part of what you’re imbuing as a character. And so, there are roles that I’ve gotten because of my looks and there are roles that I haven’t gotten because of my looks.”
“Sometimes it’s frustrating” The butterfly effect the star admitted.
However, Ashton explained that it was only after working as a producer that he realized why those responsible make particular casting decisions for films and television shows.
No ties The star stated: “You’re trying to tell a story with images, and the images should create a feeling in the audience.”
It is also pertinent to mention that in the upcoming FX series, the beauty, Ashton will play a “hilarious villain.”
“Without giving too much away, almost each of us has an incredibly nuanced role in which we, in some way, play something we are or are not at any given moment.” the ranch mentioned.
“It creates this underlying ability to embody whatever insecurities you may have, that you hide and repress, and you don’t let anyone in the world see it,” he further said.
Ashton also talked about how he thinks his villain on the show is a “good guy” at heart.
He said: “I think he’s a good guy. I mean, you have to learn early that you can never judge your character, because there are people who do things no matter how unfair they are.”
