LAHORE:
The Punjab government has canceled the holidays of the doctors of doctors, nursing employees and paramedics, alerting all hospitals regarding special arrangements in relation to the occasion.
The administrations of hospitals that improve coordination with rescue, police and district authorities have been advised to guarantee an immediate response in an emergency. The hospitals also received instructions to make preparations to guarantee the availability of space in the neighborhoods in case of emergency.
According to the sources of the Health Department, the emergency departments of the hospital and the trauma centers will remain on a maximum alert and the high -level teachers will be available for the service together with the staff. The availability of medications will also be guaranteed during processions in both days.
The sources said that the instructions in this regard had been issued to the main hospitals in the district, including large health centers in Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Finen, Gujrat and Nareowal.
The Provincial Health Minister will visit the Mayo Hospital, the Servicios Hospital, the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and other health centers along the main procession route in LaHore. The monitoring teams will inspect the arrangements and services in the hospitals of the districts of the province.
The Punjab government has ordered doctors and nurses to carry out their duties 24 hours a day in Muharram 9 and 10. Ambulance services and blood banks have also been ordered to guarantee preparations to perform special tasks in the two days.
The Government has constituted the monitoring committees to verify the agreements in the hospitals, while the departmental measures will be taken against medical officials who are absent from the service.
The health authorities have canceled the holidays of the superior doctors, the medical officers, the paramedic and nursing staff as part of the arrangements for the observance of Ashura.
In addition to keeping their rooms, emergency departments and outpatients, the main hospitals will also establish medical camps along the procession routes.
“We have issued an alert to the entire district headquarters and teaching hospitals and doctors and other staff will be on service. Teachers will also remain present in hospitals,” said Punjab Health Department spokesman Syed Hamad Raza.
