Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the government has not suggested declaring former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s personal residence in Bani Gala as a sub-jail nor is it under pressure from anyone to release the PTI founder.
“The decision on the release of the PTI founder from jail will be taken by the courts. I have no connection with the judiciary nor am I a fortune teller to predict events in advance,” Asif said during a visit to the Business Facilitation Center at his hometown.
“The claims about Imran’s transfer from Adiala jail to another place are made by the PTI members themselves,” he added. Asif claimed that the country’s economic indicators are gradually improving and attempts by Imran Khan and the PTI to harm the country have failed.
