- Netflix has confirmed cast members for its assassin’s creed TV series
- We also know that ChernobylJohan Renck will direct
- Plot details and release date are still under wraps
Netflix has teamed up with Ubisoft for a assassin’s creed TV series, and at first it didn’t convince me. But after seeing the announcement of the new cast, I am hopeful that the best streaming service can give us a good adaptation.
It is difficult to ignore the failure that was assassin’s creed film, and its woeful 18% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Even though it boasted an all-star cast, it ultimately fell short in many areas.
But in an era of good video game adaptations like the last of us and radioactive dustI started to have the idea of a assassin’s creed show. It would definitely help with the pacing, and the cast has already caught my attention, which is a good sign.

Recently, Netflix confirmed that the following names would star in its next series.
- Toby Wallace
- Zachary Hart
- Lola Petticrew
- Laura Marcos
- Tanzyn Crawford
- Noomi Rapace
- Ramzy Bedia
- Sean Harris
- Corrado Invernizzi
There’s a real mix here and it’s not reliant on a massive Hollywood outfit to try to sell the show more, which fills me with optimism.
The names that catch my attention the most are Noomi Rapace, who I especially loved in The girl with the dragon tattooand Sean Harris, who has starred in some of my favorite horror movies like Creep and Opossum.
On the other hand, Zachary Hart appeared on the Apple TV show Slow Horses, where you may recognize him, and Tanzyn Crawford is on HBO. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Meanwhile, Lola Petticrew headlined the historical drama. Don’t say anything and Laura Marcus will be in the next one Hunger Games movie, Dawn in the Harvest.
With a diverse cast of talent, it feels like Netflix assassin’s creed It has great potential. In addition to this, Johan Renck, best known for directing HBO’s Chernobyl, has also been confirmed to direct the Assassin’s Creed show, according to reports from Variety.
The plot is still shrouded in a veil of mystery, with a tagline from Tudum teasing: “assassin’s creed is a high-octane thriller focused on the secret war between two dark factions: one determined to determine the future of humanity through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will. The series follows its characters through pivotal historical events as they struggle to shape the destiny of humanity.”
It’s still too early to assess how well the series will do, but I’m looking forward to giving it a try.
