An anti -terrorism court (ATC) extended on Monday the interim bond of Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, in cases related to the protests of November 26.
Due to the license of Judge Amjad Ali Shah, the court extended the bond of Bushra Bibi until April 8 in 31 cases linked to the protests.
Bushra faces legal procedures in multiple districts, with 20 cases registered in Rawalpindi, 10 in Atock and one in Chakwal.
His legal team has maintained that the charges are politically motivated. The government has intensified legal actions against opposition figures after last year’s protests.
The former first lady, along with her husband and the figures of PTI Senior, including Ali Amin Amin Gandapur, Salman Akram Raja and Sheikh Waqas Akram, were reserved in multiple cases after the protest of “Final Call” of the party, which ended after a repression of the government.
In addition, the couple and other PTI leaders face a case of “triple murder”, accused of participation in the death of a three -Rangers personnel who supposedly hit during a protest of “doing or dying.”
Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan have been entangled in several legal battles, including Toshakhana and corruption cases of £ 190 million.
