‘Attack’ against the minister attracts the Irre

Karachi/Islamabad:

An alleged attack against a state minister by some protesters in the district of The Sindh caused an angry reaction of the federal government led by PML-N, which urged the PPP led the provincial government to investigate the matter and take the perpetrators to the task.

The protesters belonging to the nationalist parties of the tomatoes and potatoes of Sindh in the caravan of the Minister of State Religious Affairs, Kheal Das Kohistani, while passing through Thatta on Saturday.

The protesters, organizing a protest against the project of the Cholistan channel, also sang slogans against the federal government led by the PML-N.

After the incident, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif phoned Kohistani and strongly condemned the “attack.” He assured the Minister of State for an exhaustive investigation into the incident. “The attack against public representatives is unacceptable. The people involved in the incident would receive exemplary punishment,” he said.

The information minister, Atta Tarar, also realized the incident and declared it “an attack.” He also sought details of the incident of the Inspector General of Sindh General Police (PGI) Ghulam Nabi Memon and a report by the Federal Interior Secretary.

He said that attacks against public representatives are intolerable. He also asked the Sindh government to carry out a complete and transparent investigation into the incident and lead those involved before justice.

Sindh’s prime minister Syed Murad Ali Shah realized the attack against Kohistaní’s vehicle and strongly condemned the act in the strongest terms. In his statement, he said that no one has the right to take the law in their own hands.

The CM ordered Dig Hyderabad to arrest the criminals involved in the attack and presented a report. Shah also sought a detailed report on the excavation incident.
