Jeff Baena, Aubrey Plaza’s husband, committed suicide. But before his death, his wife shared a post of them on social media, calling him her “dear husband.”
The white lotus The actress, who was married to the film director in 2020, captioned it: “So proud of my dear husband @jeffbaena for coming up with another movie that takes us to Italy to cause more trouble.”
“Excited to reunite with the amazing @alisonbrie (who also co-wrote this one!)…and so many more fun people on this. “Get ready!!”, he added.
On Friday, Baena’s assistant found him dead in his Los Angeles home. The exact details of his death are still unclear.
Meanwhile, his family have confirmed his death in a statement urging “privacy at this difficult time” as they are “devastated” by his passing.
The couple dated for 10 years, after which they decided to get married in 2020 secretly as they preferred to keep a low profile regarding their relationship.
In May 2021, their relationship became public after Aubrey referred to Jeff as her husband in an Instagram post.
“I’m so proud of my dear husband @jeffbaena for coming up with another movie that takes us to Italy to cause more trouble,” she wrote.
