Auburn’s male basketball chief coach Bruce Pearl, paid tribute to Charlie Kirk during his appearance in “Don’s Me” of outkick with Dan Dakich on Friday.
Kirk was killed on Wednesday, and Pearl was one of the many sports figures that offered prayers immediately after his death.
“Charlie was a man of faith. He knew where he was when his time came. I know that is not what he was planning, because he had a lot to live here,” Pearl began.

“He lived, I believe, the most important revival that took place in our country, and that was the young Christian, conservative people who were in flames for God, who are in flames for Jesus, who are on fire so that this country helps to get involved in the service and the process, and also began to see that the other side was as different from how they felt about faith and family and the rights to life.
Pearl then torn “the opposition” for the political attack against Kirk because “they could not overcome it” in the debate.

“The opposition is separating more from us and increasingly violent. I think the reason why they are becoming more violent is because, as Charlie Kirk showed every time he discussed and had a discussion, he was on the side of the right, he was on the side of the good, he was next to the story precise for most of what he talked, and they could not overcome him. So they killed him. They left him.
“Here is the deal … none of us could touch Charlie. He had a different gift and we’ll miss him.”
