Grant Ellis has left the record after choosing Juliana Pasquarosa on the Lithia Garr runner -up at the end of season 29 of The Bachelor.
For not versed, Lithia received a “I You” from the 31 -year reality shows star during its fantasy suite date in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; However, Grant later said his heart was with Juliana.
Talking with PEOPLEHe said: “That was the most difficult, but ultimately was the best for Lithia. For me to be in a relationship in which someone will love me, but I am not receiving it in the way I want or as I need, it would be unfair to that person.”
In particular, at the end of March 24, Lithia told Grant that he was in love with him and saw a future with him, but the former professional basketball player told him that he had a stronger connection with another person.
“I love you very much, I want to give you everything you deserve, but I am not your person. And I regret that I get to this point. My emotional connection is stronger with another person,” he said.
Lithia admitted that he was “disappointed” and declared: “You are different from what I thought.”
Spilling light on the situation, Grant confessed that “it was difficult” to disappoint Lithia and felt “torn” until the end.
“You know someone’s family, you spend time with someone, you listen to their story, and then you have to tell you what is supposed to be the greatest day of their life that they are not your person. That is what made me have a little stress, a little confusion about how to do this,” he explained.
Reflecting on his decision to open Lithia about his feelings at the beginning of the season, Grant joked: “I don’t feel that I fooled, I feel that I would lead my heart. I feel it would be misleading if I made promises, but I expressed my feelings, which I do every day.”
“I’ve been to those shoes, so I know where it comes from and I will always come from a compassion place,” he added.
