Almost all education boards in Sindh have vacant posts for examination controllers, board secretaries and audit officers.
KARACHI:
The Sindh Department of Universities and Boards has reportedly started preparations to appoint a university professor as controller of examinations in the Inter Board Karachi, marking the second such controversial move in two months. The appointment is being considered based on an application submitted by the teacher, who is currently a class 18 assistant professor at a public college in Quaidabad. However, the post of examination controller is a grade 19 post.
Sources indicate that the corresponding teaching delegation is being processed before the Inter Board, requesting the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Department of University Education. The Inter Board Karachi has also reportedly been consulted for comments on the matter.
According to officials, this is not the first case of irregular positions of this type. Earlier, a Director Inspection of the Larkana Board was temporarily transferred to the Karachi Inter Board, only for the decision to be reversed after the mistake was acknowledged.
